Train derails and kills at least one person

Families received news today of a tragic car accident involving a train. The accident was a surprise to everybody standing by. A white Ford Focus was sitting waiting for the train to pass when the train unexpectedly derailed and crushed the car to the point where officials can’t tell how many people might have been in the car. This is not distracted driving.

Witnesses at the scene said it happened so fast, they were certain the driver of the Ford Focus didn’t see it coming.

The coroner is on the scene and the car is currently crushed under the train and some power lines.

Car Chase Results in Five Injuries

A recent car accident in Pierceton required the help of MedShore and firefighters to free the victims of the crash. The accident occurred on SC 81 just above Interstate 85.

The Anderson Police department has released a report which says the driver was trying to get away from a deputy of the sheriff’s department. In doing so the driver was driving very dangerously and cut in front of another car. This caused a head on collision which injured five people, said the spokesman.

The 28 year old who is alleged to of driven away from police and caused the accident is now behind bars. He has been charged with a number of counts including, driving on a suspended license, failing to stop for the police, reckless driving and endangerment.

Boy Killed in Car Accident Remembered by Community

A memorial fund has been established for the family of a boy killed in a solo car accident. The boy was driving when he lost control of his car and hit a tree. The car caught on fire and it appears the boy was trapped in the car and died. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters from the nearby fire station were called to the scene as were local law enforcement officials.

Those who knew the boy held a candlelight vigil in the area where the boy died. The vigil was later moved the parking lot of the local high school because of the number of people who attended. The boy was well-liked in his high school and in the community, explains a friend. Friends, teachers and relatives spoke about the boy at the vigil. Many remembered the boy’s smile and how pleasant he was to be around. Some shared their memories while others comforted each other. It is unknown where the boy was headed when the accident occurred.

The accident happened on a Friday night around 8pm. It is unknown how long the boy had his driver’s license. Police believe the boy lost control of the red Honda he was driving and crashed into a tree. It might have been a case of distracted driving. They do not believe the boy was speeding or under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time. Law enforcement officials believe this was just a tragic accident. The boy may have momentarily taken his eyes off the road or an animal may have crossed the vehicle’s path and the boy swerved to miss it and hit the tree. Since he was the only person involved in the accident, there are few details to work with, claims a spokesperson.

Four children under the age of 7 seriously injured in a car crash Monday

Four children were seriously injured in a truck and car accident on Monday, said an . The driver of the car and mother of the four children was only slightly injured.

An investigator described the oldest child, who is 10, as the most severely injured in the crash. The boy was rushed to the hospital quickly from the scene. The other children were six, two and one and were admitted to the hospital and also listed in serious condition.

This was a terrible accident that sounds like it could have been avoided. In the initial reports it looks like the police think the mother was driving too fast and didn’t break in time to stop the accident.

Teenage Stole Truck and Crashed into Building

A NY Car Accident Lawyer explained that police were called when a vehicle struck into a building on Thursday Evening. The accident happened close to the intersection of Highway 73 and Columbus Street.

The police department said that before they even reached the scene there were reports of a stolen truck. The truck was stolen from Stark Street and was reported by its owner. When police arrived at the scene they immediately discovered that the truck which crashed was in fact the Chevy truck which was stolen.

The truck crashed into Fred’s Service Center just off Highway 73. This resulted in thousands of dollars of damage which was caused by the driver of the stolen truck. The business is a family business which specializes in servicing and repairing vehicles. The truck slammed into the side of the building at speed.

Cause of deadly car crash is still unknown

Three cars were involved in a deadly car crash Monday, said a NYC Car Accident Lawyer.

The driver, who allegedly caused the crash, might have been driving down the wrong side of the road. He apparently was distracted and hit a truck head on and was able to get himself out of the vehicle before it burst into flames.

Sadly, this man still didn’t survive the crash despite his escape. Local residents saw a large flame rising from the road and called 911.

New recommendations for car seats released today

For years now it has been a milestone for parents to switch their one-year-old children from rear-facing car seats to forward-facing car seats. NY Car Accident Lawyers pointed out today that a study from 2007 has convinced the American Academy of Pediatrics to recommend raising this milestone to age two.

This study found staggering statistics that children under 2 are 75 percent less likely to suffer severe or fatal injuries in a vehicle accident if they face backward.

The Academy says a baby’s head is relatively large in proportion to the rest of his body, and the bones of his neck are structurally immature, described the NYC Car Accident Lawyer. They say if he’s rear-facing, his entire body is better supported by the shell of the car seat.

Man Impaled By Metal Post After Vehicular Accident

A man involved in a vehicular accident was impaled by a metal post when police found him. When officers arrived on the scene, they were surprised that a 3-inch wide metal post from a road sign was sticking from the man’s body. The post was cut from one end of the sign and man was transported to the hospital with a large part of the post still inside his body. The rest of the post was removed during surgery.

The post, said a New York Injury Lawyer, missed all vital organs and was lodged between masses of muscle and tissue. The man was very lucky as the post missed organs such as the bladder and liver by mere inches. The part of the post removed weighed about 11 pounds. While the man will have to undergo a long recovery process, it could have been much worse if the post had hit any of his organs.

The man had been talking to his sister-in-law on his cell phone when he lost control of his pick-up truck and hit the metal post. The man, who had recently lost his job, was enrolling in a local college to learn a new trade. It had been snowing that night which could explain how the man lost control of the pick-up truck so easily.

Two dead in car wreck involving semis

Anytime an 18-wheeler is involved in a car wreck, the results are never pretty, said the NY City Car Accident Lawyer. This case is a prime example of a terrible wreck that killed two elderly people; a pastor and his wife. The collision happened at an intersection and involved two semis. Somehow or other, the pastor’s vehicle was caught in between the two trucks and the truck behind them rear ended their car, causing an underride accident.

The police want to know a whole lot more about this accident and are asking anyone with any information to come forward. They want to find out if anyone saw the accident or saw the two trucks just before the accident. Three People Injured After Vehicle Hits Utility Poles

A car crash sent three people, one man and two women, to the hospital for a variety of injuries. While it is unknown the extent of their injuries, both women had to have surgery. The man suffered a few minor injuries, but did not have to have surgery. The women have been listed in stable condition. The man has since been released from the hospital. He was accused of distracted driving. In New York City and Queens this is a common occurrence.

Speeding is the alleged cause for the crash that happened on a Tuesday around 11pm. The man driving the car lost control and crashed into two utility poles. According to a New York Injury Lawyer, it was estimated by police that the car skidded on the road for at least 70 feet before hitting the poles. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. It is unknown how fast the car was traveling at the time. Police officials may be able to estimate the speed of the car by testing the tire tracks and skid marks. Charges may be pending, but so far, no one has been arrested.

It is unclear how road conditions were the night of the accident. Rain soaked roads make traveling at fast speeds very unsafe.
