The Brooklyn District Attorney has decided to look into a crash between a Vespa and an SUV that killed a mother for three, a New York Car Accident Lawyer has learned.
The 40-year-old woman was killed when her scooter ran right into an SUV being driven by a Treasury Department official at a busy Fort Greene intersection, sources told a New York Injury Lawyer. The authorities determined there was no criminal activity involved in the crash and did not charge the driver of the SUV.
Since then, several witnesses have come forward to state to the District Attorney’s investgatores that the SUV ran through a red light at the corner of DeKalb Ave. and Clinton Ave. right before the collision occurred, law enforcement sources told a New York Car Accident Lawyer.
The victim, a Scotland native, was a stay-at-home mother who is survived by an 8-year-old girl and two sons, ages 6 and 3.
The 29-year-old driver of the SUV, who resides in Louisiana, is known to have suffered chest pains after the accident and was in the hospital for a brief time. The Treasury Department has issued no comment to New York Injury Lawyers about the crash.
