A car accident happened on Monday, May fourth, 2009. The crash took place in Manhattan, New York.
The crash took place around one a.m. A movie was being filmed in Manhattan at the time of the incident. The movie, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” starring Nicholas Cage, involved an intense car chase. The movie entailed a vehicle to pass by a numerous amount of other automobiles while chasing another vehicle. The chase required a Ferrari to chase a Mercedes. While shooting the scene, the street being filmed was closed to traffic for the filming. While the chase was going on at Seventh Avenue in Times Square, the Ferrari jumped a curb and smashed into the entrance of a restaurant. It appears as though the Ferrari vehicle took a sharp right turn and crashed into the Sbarro restaurant located at 47th Street and Seventh Avenue.
Two people were injured from the accident. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital immediately and treated for their injuries. Both patients allegedly suffered from non-life threatening damages.
The film is scheduled for release into theatres sometime next year.
