A car accidentand crash happened on August 13, 2008. The accident occurred in Rochester, New York.
On the night of the incident, Sandra Arena, 48, was leaving Nasty D’s Bar and Grill when she got into an accident. As she was driving, Arena drove straight into a parking lot filled with pedestrians. She had allegedly gotten into a fight with a few of her friends and was angry over the brawl. Authorities say that this was the reason for the crash although it Is not fully certain.
Arena, of Penfield, killed a man and critically injured four women. The man killed was Chad Coleman, 22. Two of the four women were Arena’s friends.
Arena is now charged with second-degree murder and assault. She surrendered her right to a trial by jury. The case is being tried by a Monroe County Court Judge. According to Arena’s Defense Attorney, the crash was an unintentional mishap but Prosecutors believe the tragedy was not an accident.
