Car Drives into Occupied Bedroom, Reports New York Car Accident Lawyer

A man from Islandia drove his car through a wall and into the bedroom of a West Babylon home early one morning, missing the two occupants by only inches, authorities told a New York Injury Lawyer.

The 21-year-old driver was subsequently arrested a charge of driving while intoxicated.

He was driving a 2001 Nissan Maxima just before 5 in the morning when he swerved off the road and into a home on Belmont Avenue, Suffolk police told a New York Car Accident Lawyer. The front end of the car hit the side of the house, stopping mere inches from where two women, the 26-year-old daughter and 25-year-old niece of the homeowner were sleeping, the chief of department of the North Babylon Fire Company told a New York Injury Lawyer.

“It was pretty close,” the chief said. The owner of the home was asleep on the second floor at the time of the accident. “My daughter was screaming, ‘Call 911!'” the homeowner said. “She was like, ‘Mom, there’s a car in my bedroom!’ I was screaming. I was frantic.”

The driver of the car was arrested and police charged him with driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest, police sources told a New York Car Accident Lawyer. He was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center for minor injuries.
