Former NYC Police Officer crashes pregnant woman

Former NYC cop Howard Safir was accused of backing his Cadillac SUV into a pregnant woman in Manhattan and fleeing the scene. The pregnant woman was taken to a hospital and treated for a bruised shoulder. Safir claims that he did not know he hit someone, even though the victim claims that both she and an a passenger railed at the operator of the car for being nonchalant before driving away. No criminal charges were filed and no drug possession or DWI was involved in the accident.
