Man Killed by DUI Driver, says New York Car Accident Lawyer

It was a sad day for the family of a New York school teacher as he was tragically killed by an out of control motorist who was driving under the influence, reports a New York Injury Lawyer. The man was in his mid sixties and was considered a shining star at his school. In an era where so many seem to not care, he went out of his way to be there for students: even in retirement he still tutored as many pupils as he could and was proud to proctor the end of the year examinations.

Said a New York Car Accident Lawyer: the motorist has been charged with numerous criminal counts, including: second degree manslaughter, second degree vehicular manslaughter, driving an unlicensed automobile, reckless driving while being impaired, and failure to stay in the proper lane. While the driver had been under the care of a physician and been prescribed many number of medications authorities would not say which medications he was on at the time of the crash, noted a New York Injury Lawyer.

While under the influence, the driver began to drive erratically. He eventually weaved his sports utility vehicle across the double yellow line and smashed into the victim's car. For what seemed like forever the victim lay trapped inside his car, unable to move, unable to get help, as he slowed died. By the time the victim finally arrived at the hospital he was declare dead on arrival, reports a New York Car Accident Lawyer.

Mourners have traveled from across the country to attend the victim's funeral.

If you have lost a friend or loved one in a car accident, you need the experience of a New York Car Accident Attorney. Someone else's negligence can cost your family much more than you can imagine. The best option is to contact a New York Injury Lawyer in order to get the justice you and your family deserve.

Man Crashes Into Fire Truck

They wake up every day and put their literal lives on the line. They sleep at the station, allow themselves to be waken up by barking dogs and whining alarms, and at a moments notice strap on nearly one hundred pounds of fire resistant rubber, plastic, and other gear, says a New York Injury Lawyer. They hop on to the back of a massive fire truck and hold on tight as the great machine rips through town. Best case scenario, these every day fire fighters arrive at the scene of a burning out of control blazing building and rush in with nothing more than an ax and bucket of water. Worst case scenario: they never make it there, notes a New York Car Accident Lawyer. And that's what happened this time.

We've all seen fire trucks run through town. And we all know what to do: slow down, pull over to the side of the road, stop our cars, maybe say a little prayer that but for the grace of God goes I, and be thankful to the brave men and women who chose to be fire fighters. But one selfish, unthinking, stupid, foolish boar of a man did not do this, reports a New York Injury Lawyer. Where he saw the world slowing down, he thought he was better and could speed up. And so he did. He forcefully pressed the accelerator down and barreled through the intersection, says a New York Car Accident Lawyer. He drove his car as fast as he could - right until he slammed in to the side of the fire truck, T Boning the massive engine. And because of his mistake, three people have been injured.

If you have been the victim of a car accident, contact a New York Injury Attorney today to ensure your rights and liberties are protected.

Drunk driver drove two miles on wrong side of road, says a New York Car Accident Lawyer

One mile is equivalent to 5,280 feet. That is a long way to drive going the wrong way down the road. Two miles, on the other hand, is an almost unbelievable distance, even for a driver who may be under the influence of alcohol. A driver who recently caused a crash at the nearby airport is to be charged with homicide, says a New York Injury Lawyer. The man, who drove over two miles on the wrong side of the rode before crashing into a airport van, which killed a grandfather who was riding in the van.

According to a <a href="Stephen Bilkis & Associates with its New York Car Accident Lawyers has convenient locations throughout the NY area including Kingsbridge, NY. Our attorneys can give you advice about personal injury caused by another's negligence. Without a NY Car Accident Lawyer you will not be cognizant of all your rights and could be at a great disadvantage.">New York Car Accident Lawyer, the driver being charged had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, and tests proved he also had marijuana in his system. The man was originally to be charged with assault, but with the new findings, as well as the horrific nature of the crash, the prosecution is now seeking homicide charges be added.

The man was arraigned at his bed, where he still has a cast on his right leg and right arm, reports a New York Injury Lawyer. He has pled not guilty to the charges and will be returning to court shortly. Hopefully, on his way to his court date, the man will not start down the road going the wrong direction, and if he does, let's also hope that he is not under the influence and notices his mistake shortly before two miles and does not injure anyone along the way.

A New York Car Accident Attorney can help you recover your losses caused by someone else's negligence. Although no one can bring back a loved one lost in an accident, justice can be served.
Car crash sends five to the hospital, says a New York Car Accident Lawyer

Most parents have nightmares about their young adult children getting into gruesome car crashes, especially when they can be terribly injured or in some cases killed. Early yesterday morning, five people were sent to the hospital following a car accident, reports a New York Injury Lawyer. All five of the victims were young women, one was twenty-one years old while the other four were all eighteen years old.

According to the New York Car Accident Lawyer, no word has been released as to the cause of the accident as of yet, although it is known that the crash was particularly gruesome, as the vehicle was wrapped around a pole. The women had to be cut free by rescue workers. It is not known if the women were awake at the time the rescue workers arrived on the scene, although at least one has been awake since the crash. The women were split up when taken for medical care, as two went to one hospital and the other three went to a different hospital.

At present, it is known that the oldest of those involved in the crash is in critical condition, says a New York Injury Lawyer. It has not been released what condition the other four victims are currently in, although it has also not been released that any have died, so hopefully they are in better shape than the twenty-one year old. No doubt the prayers of many local residents are going out to the parents, who are no doubt experiencing great hardships while their children lay in the hospital.

A New York Injury Attorney will be there for you if someone else's negligence has caused you pain or loss. Medical bills, physical impairment, disfigurement, loss of income, property damage or loss, or even death are just a few of the issues you may be facing.
Police still don’t know the cause of a four car wreck that injured nine, reported a New York Car Accident Lawyer

Some days, it doesn’t pay to get out of bed. Some days you figure things will be ok and then, when you least expect it, you get into an accident and sustain some fairly serious injuries, commented the New York Car Accident Lawyer.
Take this case for an example. This was a four car wreck that ended up injuring nine people, some seriously. They never figured their day would end up with them being in hospital. When the EMS crews arrived on the scene, they sorted out the mess as best they could and took the most seriously injured to the nearest hospital.
This was a head-on wreck, with one person being ejected from a vehicle. Her injuries were considered to be life-threatening. Two other victims, a 60-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were taken to the nearest shock trauma center and admitted with non-life threatening injuries, reported the New York Car Accident Lawyer. One three year old little girl went to a children’s facility for care. Her injuries were listed as non-life threatening.
There is no clear indication if alcohol was a factor in this case and the police will be conducting a further investigation into the wreck. Speed may have played a factor and they will also want to determine if the at-fault driver was driving while distracted. They will be several people wanting to speak to a New York Car Accident Lawyer about compensation for their medical and other expenses.
Accidents like this are horrific and if you have been involved in one, make your first phone call to a New York Car Accident Attorney. You need to know your rights, how to file a case and what kind of compensation you may be entitled to during a settlement negotiation or from the courts. Your New York Injury Lawyer will have the answers to those questions.

Summer Camp Mourns Death of Long Time Counselor in Car Crash, Reports New York Car Accident Lawyer

Camp Dudley is a place where children have spent their summers again and again. Some of the campers and counselors that attend have been coming for ten years or more and as they have grown and changed, they have brought more skills back with them, adding even more to the camp experience. According to a New York Car Accident Lawyer, the extended family of Camp Dudley lost an important part of their team, and everyone at the camp seemed to agree when they had heard about the death of one of their most loved counselors and long time campers.

According to reports by a New York Injury Lawyer, shortly after 3am on December 31st, three long time counselor campers were driving on Camp Dudley Road in Westport. The driver lost control of his vehicle while he was attempting to navigate a sharp right turn. The car struck the tree on the drivers side. The driver was killed and the two passengers who were in the backseat survived.

The next day at Camp Dudley, tears and prayers were commonplace as they said goodbye to one of their own. According to a New York Car Accident Lawyer, it is not known if alcohol played a factor in the crash as toxicology tests are still pending. The tragedy has brought many members closer together in their grief.

Can accidents like these be avoided? One New York Injury Lawyer reports that most accidents involving automobiles are made when the driver is not paying attention. If, when driving, there is always a degree of caution and of watchfulness, perhaps we could avoid some of these tragic moments that show up like a dirty mark on the clear windshield of time.

Some accidents can be avoided and some cannot. Play it safe. Be responsible. If a car crash happens, call a New York Car Crash Attorney. If you hurt yourself at home call a new York Injury attorney. Either one can steer you forward and represent you in your case.

Four Men Injured In Car Crash, reports New York Injury Lawyer

At one thirty eight in the morning, with dawn still hours away, four college men were involved in a startling car wreck. According to a New York Injury Lawyer, the four men were all riding together in an automobile when the sports utility vehicle suddenly hit a wall. The wall was one mile from a local university where it is believed the men attended school. The man driving the sports utility vehicle had to be ripped from the vehicle using hydraulic cutters before being taken by helicopter to the local hospital. With ribs that were broken and internal bleeding coming from locations unknown, the man was whisked through the air so doctors could perform life saving procedures on him, reported a New York Car Accident Lawyer. At last check the man was listed as being in critical condition.

The man's passengers fared better but in this case better is truly measured on a sliding scale. Passenger number one suffered the cruel fate of having both his legs broken, snapped, and injured, said a New York Injury Lawyer. Passenger number two has both his legs working but he's hardly in a better condition as he found himself with a pelvis that had been cracked. Passenger number three was the lucky one, if there are any who can truly be considered lucky in such an accident, as his injuries stopped at just one broken leg.

A New York Car Accident Lawyer reports that police are currently conducting an investigation into the crash itself. Police have yet to determine whether or not the sports utility vehicle was traveling in excess of the posted speed limit. The police investigation also extends to learning whether or not alcohol was involved.

If you find yourself hurt or having lost property in an accident, you should contact a New York Injury Attorney. Any accident, whether it be a car accident, fire, or simply an unfortunate fall can have dire consequences for those involved, with costs not only for medical bills or damaged property, but also for pain and suffering as well as lost income. The best course of action is to contact a New York Car Accident Lawyer in order to get the best possible outcome.

Fatal Wrong Way Driver Charged, New York Injury Lawyer Reports

The driver who caused a fatal accident on the Long Island Expressway was charged with second-degree manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. He was traveling in the wrong direction in the eastbound HOV lane and crashed into the median, the police told a New York Car Accident Lawyer.
The 27-year-old driver, a resident of Deer Park, survived with only minor injuries and was detained overnight, a Nassau police homicide squad detective told a New York Injury Lawyer.
The driver and a 28-year-old friend of his were going to Queens after a christening when the driver turned his 2008 Chrysler Town and Country van in the wrong direction. Police received several 911 calls about the vehicle traveling in the wrong direction before the accident occurred.
The blue van struck the median at an uneven point and the passenger side of the van was torn off, according to a New York Car Accident Lawyer. The passenger was severely injured and taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Other charges placed upon the driver include second-degree manslaughter and reckless driving. Police told New York Injury Lawyers they were unsure, as of yet, how the van came to enter the expressway from the wrong direction.

Cab Smashes Into Coffee Shop, Injuring Several, New York Car Accident Lawyer Reports

A yellow cab lost control and crashed into a coffee shop in the East Village, critically injuring an elderly man, police informed a New York Car Accident Lawyer.
The 71-year-old customer was the most severely injured of the five who were hurt when the SUV taxi plowed into the coffee shop on First Avenue and E. Third Street, after colliding with a Jeep Cherokee around 1:30 a.m. The 49-year-old taxi driver was going north on First Ave. when it hit the Jeep, driven by a 19-year-old man who was turning off E. Third, police sources told New York Injury Lawyers.
When the taxi jumped the curb, it hit two bicyclists, ages 28 and 29, then continued into the coffee shop, where the 71-year-old man was sitting at a table by the front window. A 30-year-old woman and her boyfriend hailed the cab from a lower East Side bar. It was less than a minute later that the cab crashed.
She hit her face on the glass divider between the front and back seat, losing two teeth and cutting her lip, said New York Injury Lawyers. The 70-year-old man was in surgery at Bellevue and listed in critical but stable condition. Witnesses say the Jeep driver ran a red light, but police tell New York Car Accident Lawyers they are still investigating if either driver is to blame. Both passed Breathalyzer tests.
There are few things more disruptive than an accident. Totally unexpected, they can turn anyone’s life upside down. Let a New York Accident Attorney help you set everything right again. Your case can be finished quickly and fairly, if you acquire the services of a New York Accident Attorney to help with the legal matters.

At Last, Montana Addresses Drinking and Driving, a New York Car Accident Lawyer Reports

It wasn’t uncommon for someone in Montana to be able to have a beer while driving down the interstate a high speeds, reports a New York Car Accident Lawyer. In fact, it was legal to drink and drive in many places in Montana until 2005. A few years before there, there was no speed limit on major highways or rural roads.
The high profile death of a highway patrolman who was killed by a drunk driver spurred the change in Montana law to outlaw drinking and driving. New York Injury Lawyers have learned that judges are becoming stricter and law enforcement is looking for new ways to make sure repeat offenders are not a danger to others.
There are still some small town bars that will give out cocktails in to-go cups and repeat drunken drivers are often processed through the system before they are even sober.
“There is significant anti-government sentiment which spills over into impaired driving enforcement,” a representative for Mothers Against Drunk Driving told a New York Car Accident Lawyer. “Rather than praising public safety officers for keeping our highways safe, I have heard legislators berate them for bothering drivers.”
New York Injury Lawyers have still seen many signs that the state is changing in a big way to reduce drunk driving.
Car accidents are an inevitability when so many cars are on the road, and people who drive irresponsibly only make the problem worse. If you or a loved one end up in an accident, there is no one better than a New York Car Accident Attorney to help you bring your case to its best possible resolution. A New York Injury Attorney has the skill and expertise you need to get your life back in order after what is, at best, a disruptive experience

An East Northport man was released from the hospital only to spend his day grieving. He has suffered injuries in a car accident which had killed his wife and father on the Northern State Parkway, family friends told a New York Injury Lawyer.
A spokesman for Winthrop University Hospital confirmed to a New York Car Accident Lawyer that the man had been driving his car to a wedding rehearsal when it went off the road and ran into a tree. He was released from the hospital two days later. His 12-year-old son has also been in the car and was released from a different hospital that day.
The family is “just grieving at this time”, a family spokesman told a New York Injury Lawyer. The crash occurred on the westbound parkway west of Willis Avenue in Searingtown, and killed the man’s wife, 49, and his father, 87.
New York Car Accident Lawyers have learned that “an initial investigation indicates [the driver] lost control of his vehicle and ran off of the roadway, onto the shoulder and into the wood line, striking a large tree before coming to rest.”
