Three People Injured After Vehicle Hits Utility Poles

A car crash sent three people, one man and two women, to the hospital for a variety of injuries. While it is unknown the extent of their injuries, both women had to have surgery. The man suffered a few minor injuries, but did not have to have surgery. The women have been listed in stable condition. The man has since been released from the hospital. He was accused of distracted driving. In New York City and Queens this is a common occurrence.
Speeding is the alleged cause for the crash that happened on a Tuesday around 11pm. The man driving the car lost control and crashed into two utility poles. According to a New York Injury Lawyer, it was estimated by police that the car skidded on the road for at least 70 feet before hitting the poles. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. It is unknown how fast the car was traveling at the time. Police officials may be able to estimate the speed of the car by testing the tire tracks and skid marks. Charges may be pending, but so far, no one has been arrested.
It is unclear how road conditions were the night of the accident. Rain soaked roads make traveling at fast speeds very unsafe. It is also unclear if the man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident, says a New York Car Accident Lawyer. Further investigation is necessary to determine the exact cause of the accident. Police may need to interview witnesses and the driver and passengers to learn more about why the accident occurred.
It is very easy to lose control of a vehicle when speeding, claims a Lawyer. If the driver was unfamiliar with the area or if debris in the road caused the driver to lose control of the car, an accident could easily occur. It is unclear at this time if the driver or the passengers were wearing seatbelts. The driver may receive a ticket, a fine or he may be charged for endangering the lives of the passengers. Any charges against the man will most likely be based on evidence found at the accident scene and any witness accounts.

Motorcycle accidents are common in Long Island and Westchester County where highways are plentiful.

The officers may have to ride in a squad car or be placed on desk duty until they are fit to ride a motorcycle. The damage to the vehicles involved in the accidents is also unknown. It became necessary for firefighters from Great Harwood and Clitheroe, to cut the door off the silver Chevrolet Matiz, in order to get the 79 year-old lady passenger out of her vehicle.
In heavy traffic like in The Bronx and Brooklyn distracted driving is common.

Apparently, the woman's husband had been driving, but he only suffered some minor injuries. The passengers, in the other vehicle did sustain some injuries, the woman who was 78, broke her sternum, but the male driver of the silver VW did not suffer any injuries. it is suspected that this accident was caused by distracted driving.

Due to the second accident, the carriageway of Accrington Road was closed down until both vehicles could be completely removed. A New York Injury Lawyer reveals that the crash scene was closed until 5:30pm. Two car crashes in one day, one hour apart, at the same location, certainly kept the fire-station and emergency medical services busy.

Thanks to the quick effort, and amazing teamwork of those involved in clearing the crash site, the typically busy road was only closed for three hours. Truck Driver Hits Two Police Vehicles

A man driving a semi-truck hit two police patrol cars near Ritzville, Washington. No one was seriously injured, but one of the patrolmen was taken to the local hospital after suffering a few injuries, reports a NY Car Accident Lawyer. It is unclear at this time if the mechanical failure caused this accident or if the man driving the truck is to blame. There was no evidence of alcohol in the accident.
According to a Lawyer, two police patrol cars were sitting side-by-side on U.S. 395 when the accident occurred. The semi-truck went over the center divider and struck both cars. The policeman taken to the hospital has been on the police force for 19 years. The other policeman was not injured. The driver of the truck did not suffer any injuries either. The police are currently looking for any witnesses who may be able to provide additional details into how this accident occurred.
It is not uncommon for accidents like this to occur on major highways like the ones in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The truck could have blown a tire or experienced some other type of malfunction or the driver could have momentarily fallen asleep or was driving too fast. The accident happened on a Sunday around 6pm. After the accident happened, the injured policeman was airlifted to a nearby hospital where his injuries were treated. He is in satisfactory condition. The officer should be released from the hospital soon. He may or may not need additional care once he leaves the hospital. Out-patient care may be necessary depending on the extent of his injuries. In Manhattan and Queens, hospitals are equipped to handle this type of case.
It is unknown at this time whether the driver of the truck will face any charges for hitting the police cars. Further investigation is needed to determine if the driver was at fault. Law enforcement may have to inspect the truck, take witness statements and check the driver's record to determine if he has any other traffic violations that are similar. Police are asking anyone who saw the accident to contact local departments to give a statement, suggests New York Injury Lawyer. Providing any additional details may help police officials determine what happened and help them decide whether charges should be filed against the truck driver.
